It is GREAT to be back with the long overdue final issue of HAPPY HILL... and especially great that you've helped us once again get fully funded in no time at all!

It definitely took longer than we would have liked to bring this issue to you all, but we're so grateful that you've stuck by our side and will let us bring this series to an awesome conclusion (for now!)

Kickstarter Has Changed the Game for Serial Indie Comics Creating

One of the best things about the Kickstarter platform is that it has enabled and empowered creators to tell longer form stories and mini-series in a way that, if we're being honest, the direct market no longer does for most publishers. With the overwhelming amount of new comic book content being produced, many comic shops are reluctant to stock independent and small press titles and many have moved away from keeping stock of back-issues.  As a result, most comic book series see a steep drop in orders after issue #1, when selling through the direct market. On Kickstarter, though, many series are able to not only maintain their initial sales, but grow from issue to issue, picking up new backers with every single launch. 

That said, we are still extremely grateful for the retailers who we DO work with and who do stock our books, whether it be through Diamond or when purchasing directly from us here on Kickstarter.  For those awesome partners, we've just added a new RETAILER TIER to snag multiple copies of the new book at a sweet retailer discount.
